The Greenview Reunion Foundation was organized in 2003 by current and former residents who shared a commitment to giving back to the community, that shaped them. Born out of a spirit of unity and pride, the Foundation continues to honor the legacy of Greenview while creating opportunities for generations to come.
At the heart of our work is the Carolyn Wood Ellison Scholarship Fund, established to provide academic scholarships to qualifying high school seniors. By easing the financial burden of higher education, we help students pursue their goals and unlock their full potential.
In addition to supporting students, the Foundation sponsors programs and provides services that contribute to the betterment of the community. From celebrating milestones and history to creating new opportunities for growth, we remain dedicated to uplifting Greenview and those connected to it.
For more than two decades, the Greenview Reunion Foundation has brought together alumni, families, and friends to preserve our shared history while empowering future leaders. Each scholarship and initiative reflects our belief in education, service, and the enduring strength of community.

We sponsor a Black History Program for the community every February to commemorate the achievements of African Americans. The theme is usually centered around the national theme for Black History Month.

Mother's play a very important role in shaping us into productive
citizens . We recognize all the mature mother's who kept a watchful eye out for all the children of the community.

Of course we couldn't leave out our community fathers--men who shared their wisdom and knowledge with us! We honor them on Father's Day!

Dispersed in the middle of our projects are our community wide efforts such as community clean-up day, voter registration drives, assisting the local park & recreation center with various commitments. Our quarterly newsletters keeps the neighborhood informed.

The main purpose of the foundation is to award scholarships to qualifying high school seniors.
